February Updates: Progress, Projects, and Inspiration.
January was a whirlwind, and we’re kicking off February with so much happening!
This past week was packed with client presentations. We walked through our furnishing design for Tennessee farmhouse, shared our initial mood board for Connecticut Traditional, and reviewed redlines and inspiration for our Oklahoma French Country new build. It’s been a busy one, but we love these face-to-face moments with our clients, getting excited with them as their projects come to life.
Here’s a little of what we’ve been up to:
TN Farmhouse
For this project, we focused on keeping things warm and simple while layering in classic colors and patterns that really compliment the timeless farmhouse aesthetic of their build. It’s always exciting to see a design start to take shape. Their lighting and plumbing fixtures have arrived, and we’re getting eager to see all the tongue-and-groove go up on the walls and ceiling. Here’s a sneak-peak of the design.
Connecticut Traditional:
We signed on this beautiful project in January, and we’re really excited about it! The home has stunning colonial charm, and the hydrangea-filled yard (plus the horse stable down the road!) inspired a soft, classic palette. Think neutrals with light blues, greens, and pops of pink for a little fun. It’s all about updating the traditional style, while ensuring everything feels connected to its surroundings.
Oklahoma French Country:
We love when we get the chance to take on a project from the very beginning stages. Right now, we’re focused on refining the original floor-plan and exterior to make it feel a little more timeless and a little less “brand new”. One of our main goals was to reduce the square footage (bigger doesn’t always mean better!), make the layout more functional, and allow us a little more room to invest in quality finishes.
Being a part of the early stages is so important because it gives us the chance make suggestions that wouldn’t be possible later in the process. We’re thinking of flow, furniture placement, how our clients live and host in the space, light flow, budget allocation etc… We always say - if you’re going to build, do it once and do it right.
Here’s a look at some of the inspiration we’ve pulled for the project.
We’ll keep you updated as these projects - and our other ongoing ones - continue to evolve. But for now, that’s a wrap on last week’s design frenzy. Thanks for following along! Xx Steph & Jane
