Paint Trends 2024 - Why we don’t like Trends, but we love this years paint shift.

We will start by saying, we don’t love trends. We believe you should pick finishes for your home that reflect you, vs. trying to select what is “in style”. By picking what you love, and have always loved, you get a uniquely tailored design that is timeless.

Paint this year is an exception, we love when clients take risks with paint and we love the current 2024 shift in trend! We love them this year because they feel very warm, full of character and timeless (goodbye cold greys, hello Little Women style homes). Whether it’s a trend or not, paint is easily changeable and makes one of the the biggest impacts. It’s an area where you can take a risk, and just repaint if you don’t love it.

We are sharing some paint trends that we believe you’ll see a lot more of (including us incorporating them) this year. You’ll see richer more bold colours coming back into style, and we are here for it! While there is a place for white and neutrals, let’s add some colour!! It adds so much character & coziness into a space.

We love bold, deep and muted tones of these colours and have suggested similar paint colours we love.

Muted Pink

We love pink, and can’t wait to reveal our “Not in Cape Cod” library with you (spoiler alert it’s pink). Gold and creamy accents go great with pink. Our favourite combo is when it is paired with a deep red. We love the muted tones of these rooms, below we’ve listed a few of our favourite pinks.

Buttery Yellow

Maaaybee our favourite. We are so glad that yellow is coming back in. It is such a warm & happy colour. Dreaming to do a kitchen in yellow…. anybody?!

Powder Blue

Did we say yellow was our favourite?? Maybe it’s blue. The powder blue that’s coming back is so timeless and we can’t get enough of it. Our predicition (or maybe hope) is that you will see it mixed with warm deep yellows & brass tones.

Deep Red

Deep Red is making a huge appearance this year. You’re already seeing it come out in designs everywhere. Red is a really nice moody colour to bring emotions of strength, courage & passion. Here are a few designs we are loving with red.

One of our favourite combos with red is pink, and we hope to see a lot more of that this year too!
