Kids Room Mood Boards - Girls & Boys Bedrooms

Kids rooms are one of the most fun rooms to design. You can play with pattern, wallpaper & colour in such a playful way. Today we put together mood board schemes that we think would be so cute!

One thing that we try to focus on when creating a kids design is that it can age well. You can have a 5 year old in it, a teenager or even use it as a guest room once the kids move out. That way you can invest in some quality pieces that will last you for a long time.

Pro tips:

• Have fun with built in’s in kids rooms (use dutch cutouts on closet doors, grooved lines, fun knobs and more). Replacing your closet for a built in can make such a huge difference

• Shop antiques & vintage. Facebook marketplace has lots of fun options. Even if you need to re-upholster something, it can save you lots!

• Upholster a piece of furniture in a fun fabric - whether its the headboard, ottoman, chair or stool, this is a great way to make your home feel very custom.

• In every bedroom we want to add seating. Depending on how much space you have you may be able to add a lounge chair or maybe just an ottoman at the end of the bed.
