Kawartha Lake Modern Cottage

Our clients came to us with new build plans for a lakefront home near the Kawartha’s. We love a good cottage and this one had so much natural light built into it. It was a fun project, as it was already set to be a very modern build, but our clients drew inspiration from deVOL & plain english kitchens. We ended up with a design that we love! It’s a very modern design, but with finishes that are very timeless. We made sure to add details like tongue & groove, freestanding wall cabinets that look like furniture and cabinet crown/trim to give more character to the design.They are going to go with Light Gray by F&B on their cabinets, paired with un-lacquered brass hardware, a walnut butcherblock island countertop and honed marble perimeter countertops and splash. We can’t wait to see a brass pot rail installed and an oil painting on the hood trim piece to finish it off!
